A Poem that I Bethers Wrote
Hide Me from Reality
Rain drips silently,
down my window.
I look out into the world that lies ahead of me,
but soon I can no longer see.
Every breath taken
creates fog, and blinds me
from the world I look upon.
I turn back to you.
Your eyes red,
and full of shock.
Your face glistens,
from all the tears that
have trickled down your
once cheerful appearance.
Your face reminds me of the window.
Both dripping sorrow and pain.
As your eyes begin to well once again,
you turn away from my sight.
You can’t believe that I am doing this.
I can’t either.
You gather your stuff, and leave.
Unspoken.
And unlike the window
I can breathe as much
as I want.
But fog won’t appear,
to blind me from reality.
Rain drips silently,
down my window.
I look out into the world that lies ahead of me,
but soon I can no longer see.
Every breath taken
creates fog, and blinds me
from the world I look upon.
I turn back to you.
Your eyes red,
and full of shock.
Your face glistens,
from all the tears that
have trickled down your
once cheerful appearance.
Your face reminds me of the window.
Both dripping sorrow and pain.
As your eyes begin to well once again,
you turn away from my sight.
You can’t believe that I am doing this.
I can’t either.
You gather your stuff, and leave.
Unspoken.
And unlike the window
I can breathe as much
as I want.
But fog won’t appear,
to blind me from reality.
